I've never done this before and I'm still not fully committed to the idea. I'm not a journalist, I'm not a poet or an artist, I'm not currently in a foreign country, I've never excelled at a given trade, and I'm in no place to offer the public any emotional guidance or advice--surely my rambling provides no benefit to anyone other than myself.
I've had this blog set up for well over two months and have done little beside adjust the font and link colors. But the pull to blog is ever present. I do enjoy the thought of passing on what I think is cool to anyone who will listen, as the egomaniac in me tells me I have exceptional tastes. And I love to write but rarely do so, which makes this modern version of a diary the perfect arena in which to hone my skills until I can apply them to a more productive and substantive medium. Finally, I really wanted to name a blog. The name is always the best part.
So here I go. I guess. I'm not sure what the theme of this blog will be. I'm not even sure I'll ever post again, or tell a soul about the site, so this could resemble the parable of the isolated tree. Does a blog really exist if there's no one around to comment on it?
